The Stewards received a report from The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, Mr. L. Walsh, that S.W. Flanagan, rider of Glenwood For Ever, placed third, weighed out exactly 164.3 Ibs and weighed in 162.8 Ibs, this being 1.2 Ibs below the base weight of 164.0 Ibs. Noel Meade, trainer, agreed with the Clerk of the Scales report having seen the printout and added he saddled the horse with the saddle, non slip pad, lead cloth and girths as weighed out. Evidence was heard from the rider S.W. Flanagan who stated that he handed over all equipment to Mr. Meade as already stated and was unable to explain the discrepancies. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards used their powers under Rule 231 and disqualified Glenwood for Ever from third place. In view of the evidence the Stewards did not apportion blame to any person and therefore took no further action.

The result now reads:
1st Take The Cash
