The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

L.P. Dempsey replaced D.F. O'Regan on Toor General, trained by A.J.Martin (Race 4)(Injured)

232A Summer Party Pack Group Booking Mdn Hdle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Run James Run trained by Donald Cashman, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly before the last hurdle .

B. Hayes, rider of Megans Bella trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped the first hurdle big and slow and never travelled throughout the race.

232C Hurley Family M'dn H'dle

B. Hayes, rider of Motcomb Street (USA) trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the fourth last hurdle.

R.M. Power, rider of Easy Pass, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was never travelling on the final circuit.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Easy Pass, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

232D Irish Stallion Farms EBF H'cap H'dle

A.E. Lynch, rider of Bective Cave trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled during this race.

232F Coola H'cap S'chase

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Irish Bulletin, trained by E. McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P.T. Enright, rider of Dushrembrandt trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race and was pulled up.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Irish Bulletin trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

232G September 8th Celebration INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.C. Barry, rider of Ballikanan (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J.C. Barry was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force and frequency and R10(4) by failing to give his mount time to respond and therefore suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration. .
