The Stewards enquired into an incident after crossing the roadway at the stable yard and a further incident on the approach to the final fence involving Presentingprincess, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed third and Mossy White, ridden by T. Ryan, placed second, where it appeared that Mossy White collided with Presentingprincess on both occasions when challenging between the winner Riviera Sun and Presentingprincess. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that T. Ryan had caused both incidents by riding carelessly. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned T. Ryan in relation to the first incident and suspended him for 1 raceday in relation to the second incident.

The Stewards interviewed T. Ryan, rider of Mossy White, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that T. Ryan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended T. Ryan for 1 raceday.

The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Riviera Sun, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Alan Coady, Authorised representative of Henry de Bromhead, reported that the change in tactics to riding the animal from the front and the first time application of a tongue strap were contributing factors to the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Toosey (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his left foreleg post race.

The Stewards interviewed Mr Pat Taaffe, rider of Checkout Tuesday, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr Pat Taaffe was in breach of R10(3)(b) by using his whip unnecessarily after his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr Pat Taaffe on this occasion.
