The Stewards fined R.P. McNamara, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Dasmyhoss, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Dasmyhoss in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (iv).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Koroleva, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

234C Hurley Family M'dn H'dle

D.J. McInerney, rider of Nibblers Charm trained by Ray Hackett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green.

234D Irish Stallion Farms EBF H'cap H'dle

R. Loughran, rider of Frazel Express trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room after the second hurdle, lost her action and hung thereafter.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Derby De Thaix (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

234E Moore Car Sales Mercedes Benz Beg Schase

The Stewards interviewed R. Loughran, rider of Dont Stop, concerning his use of the whip after the third last fence. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays .

234G Kilmurray Hardware Ltd INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Philip Fenton, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Breffniboy (FR), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Breffniboy (FR) in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (iv).

The Stewards enquired into the course taken by Miss K. Ferris, rider of Whenurgoodurgood, where it appeared the incorrect course was taken, continued on and finished the race. Evidence was heard from the rider who stated that her mount ducked out and went the wrong side of a direction post, she tried to pull him up but was unable to. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards disqualified Whenurgoodurgood, accepted Miss K. Ferris's explanation and took no further action.
