The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.D.Timmons rode The Crane Man (reserve), trained by Thomas Coyle (Race 2)

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Kolumbus, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The trainer's representative reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge Kolumbus, was found to have a lung infection on endoscopic examination.

P. Townend, rider of Creative Talent trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran around when he hit the front.

079C Summer Party Pack H'cap H'dle

P.E. Corbett, rider of Rock On Rosie trained by Adrian Brendan Joyce, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

079E Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)Beg. S'ch

The Stewards granted permission for Galloping Anger to run without a tongue tie.

079F Sean Hughes Memorial H'cap S'chase

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P.L. Malone, that Mr. A. Murphy, rider of Lucky Pat, weighed in 1.2.lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

A. Ring, rider of Patsio trained by J.R. Barry, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.

079G Loughnagore INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Peacocks Secret, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

Mr P.T. Foley, rider of Dantess trained by Thomas Foley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Ben Brody, ridden by Mr S.P. Byrne, placed first and Peacocks Secret, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. Mullins was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.
