The following trainer was fined €200 for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):

Edward Cawley for Never Said That at Kilbeggan 1st June 2014.

The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

David Martin Kelly, trainer of Moenchengladbach (Off feed) - €200
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Killeenmore (Going) - €200.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R. P. Treacy rode Shabra's Bertolini (reserve), trained by Patrick O.Brady (Race 2).
M. J. Bolger rode Duroob (GB) (reserve), trained by Patrick O.Brady (Race 4).
A.E. Lynch replaced R.P. McNally on Little Wing Man, trained by Edward Cawley (Race 1) (Injured).
D. J. Casey replaced P. Carberry on Greatness, trained by A.J.Martin (Race 2) (Late to weigh out).

The Stewards fined G.T.Lynch, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of F B A House (GB), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

William J. Fitzpatrick, trainer of Mollies Gent, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 5th June that his charge ran below par, in his opinion, although did scope clean the morning after the race.

127B Athlone H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed P. Carberry, rider, concerning his late arrival to weigh out on Greatness, trained by A.J.Martin, which resulted in him been replaced by D. J. Casey. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 196 (i), in that he had failed to present himself at the scales on time as he was required to do so. Having taken his previous good record in this regard in account, the Stewards fined him €200.

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend past the stands involving Princess Leya, ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed fourth and Queen Alphabet, ridden by D.N. Russell, placed third, where it appeared Queen Alphabet ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D. E. Mullins was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having taken his previous good record in this regard into account, they suspended him for one race day.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Somethingboutnelly trained by D.Harvey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was therefore pulled up.

127D Kilbeggan H'cap H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Jim Bowie trained by J.J. Lambe was found to have mucus following an endoscopic examination.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Stonehall Jack, ridden by Mr K.E. Power, placed fourth and Emerald Honours, ridden by Mr S. Cavanagh, placed third, where it appeared Stonehall Jack met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They did, however, caution Mr. S Cavanagh to make more of an effort to keep his mount straight in future.
