The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S.W. Flanagan replaced D.N. Russell on Rich Coast (GB), trained by Noel Meade (Race 2)(Injury).
R. Loughran replaced D.N. Russell on Beechmount Whisper, trained by P.J.Prendergast (Race 3)(Injury)
B. Hayes replaced D.N. Russell on Black Sam The Man (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 6) (Injured).

229A Kilbeggan M'dn H'dle

Noel Meade, trainer of Black Ace, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge gurgled from the second last hurdle.

229C Follow Kilbeggan On Facebook M'dn H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Timing'severything, trained by John E. Kiely, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Timing'severything, trained by John E. Kiely, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount choked in running.

229D At The Races H'cap H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Sharlanda trained by C.A.Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the second last and stopped travelling.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sharlanda, trained by C.A.Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

229E www.kilbegganraces.com Beginners S'chase

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Dallas Cowboy trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly and stopped quickly.

J.J. Burke, rider of Sizing Alberta (FR) trained by C.A. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly and pulled up.

The Stewards interviewed Niall Madden, trainer of Snake Eyes, in relation to the saddling of his charge in this race where it was observed in the parade ring that the horse was wearing the incorrect number-cloth. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who accepted responsibility for the oversight and apologised for the confusion. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards found the trainer in breach of Rule 199 and cautioned him regarding his future responsibilities in this regard.

229G Athlone INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Adrian McGuinness, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Dance The Rapids, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Leopards Leap, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race.
