087F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sinndar Sandy, trained by M.J. Tynan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Havinaconniption (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, and trained by A. Oliver. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his instructions were to jump out and travel wherever comfortable and to do his best. In running he felt that his fily was on her head throughout and got unbalanced coming down the hill before staying on well in the straight. In his opinion he felt that the fily may benefit from easier ground. A. Oliver, trainer, confirmed the instructions and stated that this fily had been hobdayed in the past and had other training issues but felt that today's trip would suit but found the ground on the quicker side of good. He added that the fily travelled well on the rising ground but became unbalanced on the declining ground. He was satisfied with the ride. The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer who stated that the fily was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
