The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M.P. Walsh replaced J.S. McGarvey on Treasure Chest, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 3)(intended mount a non runner)
M.P. Walsh replaced J.S. McGarvey on Shanpallas, trained by C.Byrnes (Race 7)(intended mount a non runner)

154A Kullens Kitchen (Mares) M'dn H'dle

D.N. Russell, rider of Nana Joan trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

C.D. Timmons, rider of Wiz Lady, trained by Shane Crawley, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Nana Joan, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

154B Gain (C&G) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined C.A.McBratney, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Captain Cook (GER), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

P. Townend, rider of Captain Cook (GER) trained by C.A.McBratney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.

A.W. Short, rider of Trimmers Lane trained by J.S.Cullen, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.

154C Kilkenny City & County Vintners H'dle

D.J. Mullins, rider of Ihavent A Clue trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not act on the ground and was pulled up there after.

154D Affedia M'dn H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Artiste Celebre, trained by Garrett James Power, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran free on the way to the start and throughout before tiring.

154E(ii) Whitfield Orthopaedic Clinic H'cap H'dle (Division Two)

The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter, Mr. D. Cullen, that M.P. Burke, rider of Ask David had disobeyed his instructions which resulted in a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.P. Burke was in breach of Rule 208 and having considered his record, severely cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.
