The following trainer was fined €200 for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):

Mrs John Harrington for Nearly Famous (GB) at Gowranpark 18th September 2016.

The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

J. S. Bolger, trainer of Vocal Response (off feed) - €200
A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Nutcracker Suite (declared in error) - €200
Michael C.Connell, trainer of Pemberton Snow (no suitable rider) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.P. Cleary rode Curtiss Town (reserve), trained by A.J. Martin (Race 8)

262A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

S.B. Kelly, rider of Dreamy Gal, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran keen in the early stages and did not handle the ground.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Dreamy Gal, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

262C(i) Pick 6 Is Heading For One Million H'cap (Division One)

John Geoghegan, trainer of Queluz, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge hung right throughout and never travelled.

W.J. Lee, rider of Modern Tutor (GB), trained by Miss Nicole McKenna, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount failed to quicken.

262D Live Music After Racing M'dn

The Stewards received a report from Mr. A. Tyrell, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, that Ligeti (Ire), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, appeared on the passport as a colt despite being gelded. Having considered the report, the Stewards fined the trainer €130 under the provisions of Rule 148(vi).

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Pacodali, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first, Rainfall Radar (USA), ridden by C. O'Donoghue, placed third and Tipstaff (GB), ridden by K.J. Manning, placed second, where it appeared Tipstaff(GB) ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges's placings. They did, however, advise W.J. Lee to ride with more care in the future.

262E D.Cordell Lavarack/Lanwades Stud(F)Stks

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Discipline (GB), trained by D.K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Discipline (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room and had to switch but never travelled.

262F Gowran Golf Membership Apprentice H'cap

O.J. Orr, rider of Enough Is Enough, trained by P.Meany, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lodged its tongue over the bit while racing.

C. O'Keeffe, trainer of Nicaragua (GB), reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Tuesday 20th September that his charge scoped badly post race.
