The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

F.M.Berry rode An Droichead (reserve) , trained by A.J.Martin (Race 1)

215A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

P.J. Smullen, rider of Brevet (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left in the last furlong.

215B Join the Gowran Park Park Club Nursery

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the final furlong involving Bobailin, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed first and Dancing On Air, ridden by Anastasia O'Brien, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that interference had occurred and that the winner had improved her finishing position as a result of this interference and therefore amended the judge's placings to read : First : Dancing on Air Second: Bobailin.

C.R. King, rider of Fit For Function (GB) trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the bend.

215D Ir.Stallion Farms EBF Hurry Harriet Stks

C.D. Hayes, rider of Corail trained by P.D. Deegan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not act on the ground.

215E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Gallope, trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of being in season(samples taken for analysis).

F.M. Berry, rider of Gallope trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

Mrs Prunella Dobbs, trainer of Gallope, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 13th August that her charge was found to be in season post race.

215F Golf Membership At Gowran Park App.H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Shukhov, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Elusive Leona, ridden by C.J. McGovern and Sovereign Princess, ridden by O.J. Orr. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of J.F.Levins and B.R.Hamilton who accompanied their riders in the Stewards room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Oisin Orr was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.

R. Coakley, rider of Excelli trained by Ms. Maria Richert, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount emptied quickly and was eased inside the final furlong.
