The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Donal Kinsella, trainer of Wat Tyler (GB) (declared in error) - €200
Donal Kinsella, trainer of Annagassan (GB) (declared in error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

O.J. Orr rode Dara Tango (FR) (reserve) , trained by A.J.Martin (Race 8)
T.P. Madden rode Shantou Ed (reserve) , trained by P.A.Fahy (Race 8)

285B Thomastown (Fillies) Median Auction M'dn

The Stewards interviewed R. Aguiar, rider of Shes Queen, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R. Aguair to be in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended R. Aguair for 3 racedays. Acting Steward Mr. Michael Hillman absented himself from this enquiry.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Optional Necessity, trained by P.J.Prendergast, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Optional Necessity trained by P.J.Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action.

285D Gowran Park Racing Club Nursery H'cap

P.D. Deegan, trainer of Ellona, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge showed signs of coming into season.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Timia (GB), ridden by R. Coakley, unplaced, Invincible Queen, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed first and Adateformary, ridden by D.M. Melia, unplaced, where it appeared that Invincible Queen was forced to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.M. Melia was in breach of rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned D.M. Melia regarding his future responsibilities.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Count Of Carabass, ridden by M.C. Hussey, unplaced, New Identity, ridden by C.P. Hoban, placed sixth and Punches Pious, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed fourth, where it appeared that Count of Carabass and Punches Pious ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found C.P. Hoban to be in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his previous record in this regard suspended C.P. Hoban for 3 racedays.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Tee Ranger trained by J.C.Hurley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.

285G Racing Again November 25th M'dn

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Guido Reni, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed fifth and Small Bit Of Love, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed fourth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental in nature. The Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
