The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G.J. Phillips replaced C.R. King on Pontificate, trained by John Joseph Murphy (Race 4)(Injured)

071C Ladies Day June 20th H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving stalls involving Perfect Fit, ridden by C.R. King, Caution, ridden by S. Foley, Mattydillon (GB), ridden by Gary Paul Halpin, Tagg's Island, ridden by D.P. Linehan, Its Harrys Girl, ridden by D.M. Redmond, Busy Bush, ridden by R.P. Cleary, and No Way Jack, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, where it appeared Perfect Fit suffered interference and unseated C.R. King. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.P. Murtagh, trainer, also attended this enquiry with his apprentice D.P. Linehan. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Gary Paul Halpin in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days. Furthermore they found S. Foley in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account they cautioned him to be more careful in future.

Gary Paul Halpin, rider of Mattydillon (GB) trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he lost control of his mount in the first fifty yards.

The Stewards interviewed C.D. Hayes, rider of Sakhees Jack (GB), concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C.D. Hayes in breach of Reg 10 3.(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account suspended him for one race day.

071D Racings Best Offer #19 Silver Pack H'cap

F.M. Berry, rider of Hammermann (USA) trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly.

071E Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

C.D. Hayes, rider of Blue Skimmer, trained by P.J.Prendergast, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran keen.

071F Family Fun Day June 21st Apprentice Hcap

The Stewards received a report from Mr. W Fleming , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Lynda Tara Masterson , rider of Our Kieran , had presented herself at scales to weigh-out with three pounds overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. The rider stated that she had expected to make the weight but accepted that she had misjudged it and found herself three pounds overweight when weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the rider to carry the three pounds overweight but found her in breach of Rule 198 and fined her €150 while also reminding her of her responsibilities in future.
