The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Anthony Mulholland, trainer of Ardview Boy (off feed) - €200.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.Townend replaced D.J. Mullins on Bobarlee, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 2)(non runner)
P.J.Smullen rode Not A Bad Oul Day (reserve) , trained by John James Feane (Race 4)
B.Robinson rode Be Kool (reserve) , trained by Brian Ellison (in GB) (Race 4)
R.P.Cleary rode Truffles (reserve) , trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery (Race 4)

206A Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.P.L.Malone, that C. Gethings, rider of Coherent, weighed in 1.9lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his clean record, suspended him for one race day.

The Stewards requested a report from Seamus Fahey, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of The Informer, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on his last start at Roscommon over three miles. The horse was subsequently given a break and freshened up before today's improved showing, dropped to two miles on soft ground. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

C. Brassil, rider of Afatcat (GB) trained by S.J.Mahon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struck into itself and sustained an injury.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Papal Motel, trained by Andrew McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Mezajy trained by Denis Gerard Hogan was distressed post race.

206B Kenny Galway H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of King Leon, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

D.N. Russell, rider of Dawn Raider trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst blood vessels and was pulled up. Subsequently the Turf Club Veterinary officer reported that this horse had blood on its nostrils following exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Static Jack trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.

206D Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Ahonoora' Hcap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Riven Light, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed fifth, Dream Walker (FR), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first, Stenographer (USA), ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced and Not A Bad Oul Day, ridden by, P.J.Smullen unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action.

M.C. Hussey, rider of Penwortham trained by Richard Fahey (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.

206F Lord Hemphill Memorial H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Treacy, rider of Neverushacon, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he used the whip with his arm above shoulder height and having considered his record, suspended him for three race days.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Jack The Wire, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race.

D.N. Russell, rider of Noche de Reyes (FR) trained by Tom George (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stumbled after the last.

M.A. Enright, rider of Gentleman Duke trained by A.L.T.Moore, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered interference.

D.G. Hogan, rider of Jack The Wire trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly and never travelled.

206G JPK Fencing H'cap

W.M. Lordan, rider of Shamar (FR) trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount raced out of control and was pulled up.

C.T. Keane, rider of Dara Tango (FR) trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right close home.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Bottleofsmoke, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed third, Highland Fling, ridden by R.P. Cleary, placed second and Dara Tango (FR), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action.

206H Fr.Breen Memorial (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Vocarium, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, placed second and Ainsi Va La Vie (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr.R.Deegan was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.
