The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M.P.Fogarty replaced K.C. Sexton on Make A Track, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 5)(injured)
Miss. N.Carberry replaced K.C. Sexton on Bank Bonus (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 3)(injured)

198D Bet On All UK Racing With Tote (QR) M'dn

Mr S. Clements, rider of Palm Sur trained by J.R. Barry, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and was pulled up.

The Stewards interviewed Mr F. Maguire, rider of Time To Inspire, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(c), the unnessary hitting of a horse that clearly has its race run and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.

The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Shanahan's Turn, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on his last start at Punchestown over 2M 1F, when unable to go the quick pace. He added that today's step up in trip helped his charge return to form. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Baily Green, at the request of trainer, M.F.Morris, and reported the animal to be lame on the right hind limb.

F.M. Berry, rider of George Baker trained by George Baker (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly in running.

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the turn into the straight involving Fit For The Job, ridden by F.M. Berry, unplaced , Wonder Holy, ridden by Gary Paul Halpin, placed fourth and Laganore, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed fifth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion Gary Paul Halpin was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Current State trained by T. Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered in the straight.

C.R. King, rider of Emperor Bob trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in running.

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the turn into the straight involving Marshall Jennings, ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced, Lily's Rainbow, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second and Current State, ridden by W.M. Lordan, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that W.J.Lee was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record,suspended him for two race days.
