J.J. Burke, rider of Lucky Fancy (GB), trained by Ms. Joanna Morgan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got tired very quickly and was pulled up.

294B SanServ Rated Novice S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Mr R.P. Quinlan, rider of Pumbaa, concerning his use of the whip on the run up the hill away from the final fence. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr R.P. Quinlan was in breach of R10(3)(e) by hitting his mount other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters and consequently severely cautioned him having taken his clean previous record into consideration.

The Stewards interviewed P. Carberry, rider of Stilo Blue Native, concerning his use of the whip after the final hurdle. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that P. Carberry was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height and consequently suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Stewards interviewed M.F. Mooney, rider of Poznan Pilot, concerning his use of the whip after the final hurdle. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that M.F. Mooney was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height and consequently suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.
