061A Ryans Cleaning Event Specialist Mdn H'dl

R.C. Colgan, rider of Rideonastar trained by Karl Thornton, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Savannah Storm (GB) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground.

C.D. Timmons, rider of Need For Gold trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up at the start.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Savannah Storm (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Prince Anchises, ridden by E. O'Connell, and trained by A.J.Martin. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. E. O'Connell, stated that his instructions were to jump off behind as his mount can be very free and also a nervous type. He felt there was a very slow pace early on and when the race quickened his mount was unable to go with them but stayed on one pace in the straight. A.J.Martin, confirmed the instructions, he also added that his horse has had a number of problems and been difficult to keep sound, he feels that he stays well but today was his first race and on very testing ground, he feels he would also be expected to improve. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that the animal was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations.

061B Gleesons Butchers Novice H'cap H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Last Man Standing trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up thereafter.

The Stewards interviewed Thomas Gibney, trainer of Global Fert, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who explained the circumstances surrounding the late arrival and apologised for this. Having considered the evidence and taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards found Mr. Gibney in breach of Rule 32(ii) and fined him €250. Furthermore the Stewards reminded him of his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards interviewed Edward Cawley, trainer of Nobody Home, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated the circumstances surrounding the late arrival and apologised for this. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found Mr. Cawley in breach of Rule 32(ii) and having taken his previous record into account the Stewards imposed a fine of €200 on the trainer.

061C Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)Nov.H'dle

S.W. Flanagan, rider of High School Days (USA) trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered and pulled up thereafter.

G. Sheehan, rider of Woolstone One (GB) trained by Emma Lavelle (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

061G Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper

The Stewards interviewed Ms L. O'Neill, rider of Black Tears (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3.(f) and having taken her previous record into account suspended her for five race days.

The Stewards interviewed Miss J.M. Cook, rider of Elite Garde (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3(b) and having taken her previous record into account the Stewards cautioned the rider regarding her future whip use.
