The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M.A. Enright replaced S.G. McDermott on Our Pocket Rocket, trained by Eamon Courtney (Race 1)(Injured)
M.J. Bolger replaced S.G. McDermott on Mandarin Monarch, trained by Andrew McNamara (Race 2)(Injured)
R.Walsh replaced N.D. Fehily on Baltimore Rock, trained by Neil Mulholland (in GB) (Race 4)(Injured)

008A Easter Festival Tickets (Mares) Mdn Hdle

D.E. Splaine, rider of Ellie's Choice trained by D. Donovan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struggled on the ground, before stopping quickly after half way.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Havasupai trained by G.A. Kingston, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struggled on the ground.

The Stewards fined Henry de Bromhead, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of High School Days (USA), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined A Year To Remember, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a near front shoe and to be a little sore.

A.W. Short, rider of Boney Moloney trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he felt his mount lost its action before pulling up, but felt ok thereafter.

008C Madden Raparees Fundraising H'cap H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Sean Aherne, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Nicole's Milan, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge needs three miles on ground no slower than soft and felt the soft to heavy ground at Limerick on his previous run to be very testing and attributed the improved performance to more favourable ground conditions. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of Nerual, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for three race days and ordered that he attended R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip

The Stewards interviewed I.J. McCarthy, rider of Returntovendor, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of regulation 10.3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for three race days.

008D Bar One Racing Dan Moore Mem. H'cap S'ch

R. Walsh, rider of Baltimore Rock trained by Neil Mulholland (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Baltimore Rock, trained by Neil Mulholland (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
