The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

J. S. Bolger, trainer of Admodum (USA) (Declared in Error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.J. O'Hanlon rode Rialto Magic (GB) (reserve) , trained by Keith Henry Clarke (Race 7)

280B Jockey&Trainer Championship Claiming Mdn

The Stewards informed Noel G. Hynds, trainer that My Princess Emma, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed D.E. Sheehy, rider of Society Ranger, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who attended this enquiry with his Master, E. Sheehy. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D.E. Sheehy in breach of Reg 10. 3.(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and they cautioned the rider regarding his future whip use.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Breath Of Truth trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was carried off a true line in the straight.

The Stewards interviewed D. O'Brien, rider of Taj Mahal, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3.(f) by using his whip with excessive force and imposed a suspension of three race days and ordered that the rider attend RACE for one day's tuition in the correct use of the whip.

280D Ir. Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal Stks

L.F. Roche, rider of Low Latency (GB) trained by D.J. Bunyan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount's saddle slipped on leaving stalls.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Rebel De Lope (GB) trained by Charles Hills (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't handle the first bend well.

280E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from M.Halford, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Kadra, placed first, as compared with its recent run. The trainer reported that he couldn't explain the disappointing run last time but that the rider had reported that the filly had run flat. Nothing had subsequently shown up but he had given the filly a short break and she had returned to form today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.

280F(i) Light Up Your Night Apprentice H'cap (Division One)

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Carrigeen Prince, ridden by D.M. Redmond, Caminel, ridden by R.P. Downey, Billyford, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, and Shirley, ridden by R.A. Smithers, where it appeared Carrigeen Prince ran short of room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards apportioned no blame to any individual rider and took no further action.

280F(ii) Light Up Your Night Apprentice H'cap (Division Two)

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Rising Mist trained by Philip M. Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung and lost its action.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Magia Del Corso trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran onto heels and met with interference.

280F2 Light Up Your Night Apprentice H'cap

Philip M. Byrne, trainer of Rising Mist, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Friday 14th October that his charge was found to be in season post race.

Liam Roche, trainer of Lightening Stricks, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Tuesday 18th October that his charge was found to have had an irregular heartbeat post race.
