The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. R.Deegan replaced Miss A.M. Slattery on Sharjah, trained by Andrew Slattery (Race 8)(see report)

The Stewards informed Tracey Collins, trainer that Chiclet, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

037B Dundalk Stadium Business Claiming Race

R.P. Downey, rider of Paytheprice (GB) trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action.

S.B. Kelly, rider of Pillar (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.

037C Crowne Plaza Race & Stay H'cap

Anastasia O'Brien, rider of Sweetasever trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount got no run in the straight.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Only Spoofing trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too freely.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Only Spoofing, trained by J.F. Levins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

037F Follow Dundalk Stadium On Twitter H'cap

The Stewards interviewed R. Aguiar, rider of Pyla, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b), in that he used the whip when his chance had gone and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.

037G Race & Dine From #25pp (Q.R.) H'cap

The Stewards received a request from Andrew Slattery, trainer of Sharjah, to substitute the nominated rider Miss A.M. Slattery, with Mr. R. Deegan, due to the nominated rider being unable to do the weight. Evidence was heard from the trainer and nominated rider. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the substitution request, they were however of the opinion that Miss A.M.Slattery was in breach of Rule 195(i)c and having considered her clean record in this regard, fined her €150.
.

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the turn into the straight involving Paris Snow (GB), ridden by Mr D.J. Benson, Sharjah, ridden by Mr.R.Deegan, and Prince Charmin', ridden by Mr M.J. Doyle. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. Deegan was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.
