The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

020A Dundalk Business Club 2018 Claiming Race

The Stewards interviewed A.J. Farragher, rider of Six Silver Lane (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of his Master, John James Feane. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Farragher was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height. Having taken his clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned A.J. Farragher.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Six Silver Lane (GB) trained by John James Feane was noted to have lost a left fore shoe post race.

020B Irishinjuredjockeys.com Rated Race

The Stewards enquired into possible interference about one furlong from the finish involving Alcander (FR), ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, Mandarin Monarch, ridden by D.P. Linehan, placed first and Kuraka (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed third, where it appeared that Kuraka (GB) ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings'. They did, however, consider that D.P. Linehan had caused interference by riding carelessly and suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

020C1 Meat Boutique H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tennesse Waltz, trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C. Heavey, rider of Cresendo, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his reins opened in the latter stages of this race.

020C2 Meat Boutique H'cap

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. Hugh Hynes, that L.T. McAteer, rider of Pari Passu, had presented himself at scales at 2lbs overweight when weighing out. Permission was granted to carry the overweight. The Stewards wished to interview Mr Anthony Mullins, trainer of Pari Passu to establish the circumstances around the riding arrangement with reference to riding at the correct weight. Mr Mullins was not present at this meeting and had not appointed an authorised representative to represent him in accordance with the provisions of Rule 147 (v). Ms Jackie Carter, the groom responsible for Pari Passu, informed the Stewards that she had been give a letter of authorisation before leaving the trainers yard but had either forgotten it or mislaid it and therefore had not presented any letter of authorisation at the scales prior to the rider weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards referred the matter to the Referrals Committee of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board.

020E Ready Mixed Concrete M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Itsdacraic trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the early stages of this race.

The Stewards requested a report from D.A. McCormack, rider of Glow In The Dark, trained by D. K. Weld, following the running of this race. The rider reported that his mount jumped out well, travelled happily during the race but ran green and threw her head around.

020F Parkview Provisions H'cap

The Stewards interviewed C.J. McGovern, rider of Togoville, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that C.J. McGovern was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency. The Stewards cautioned C.J. McGovern having taken his good previous record into consideration.
