The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. O'Brien replaced Christina Simpson on Pick Your Battle (GB), trained by A. Oliver (Race 3)(Unwell)

019D At The Races App Apprentice M'dn

O.J. Orr, rider of Lusis Naturea (GB), trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from stalls and ran green.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Holy Matrimony, trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung right throughout the race possibly through greenness.

The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of Hat Alnasar, concerning his use of the whip inside the final 150 yards of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that C.P. Hoban was in breach of R10(3)(a) by hitting his horse in front of the saddle while the whip was held in the forehand position and consequently suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

019G(i) Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'cap (Division One)

P.B. Beggy, rider of Gaoth Tire trained by Lester Winters, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly to the right throughout the race.

R. Coakley, rider of Dolly Rose trained by Patrick Downey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference in the straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the latter stages of this race involving Lonan, ridden by C.P. Hoban, unplaced, Gaoth Tire, ridden by P.B. Beggy, unplaced, Universal Mind, ridden by O.J. Orr, placed third, Absorbing, ridden by Anastasia O'Brien, unplaced and Dolly Rose, ridden by R. Coakley, unplaced, where it appeared that Gaoth Tire caused interference by coming off a straight course. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by P.B. Beggy riding carelessly by failing to take reasonable steps to avoid causing interference and consequently suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his good previous record into consideration.

019G(ii) Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'cap (Division Two)

Philip M. Byrne, trainer of Milford Lass, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies that his charge was found to be in-season following her run in this race.

Noel Lawlor, trainer of Tennesse Waltz, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Wednesday 4th January that his charge has had a wind operation since this run.
