C.R. King, rider of Mr Michael, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung right handed and then left handed in the closing stages.

263C Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving An Duine Uasal, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, Duncan Of Scotland, ridden by D.M. Redmond, unplaced, Northern Emperor, ridden by P.J. Smullen, unplaced and Arjeed, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, where it appeared Duncan Of Scotland ran short of room and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards apportioned no blame and took no further action.

D.M. Redmond, rider of Duncan Of Scotland, trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room and stumbled rounding the first bend.

E. D. Delany, trainer of Northern Emperor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge scoped badly post race.

F.M. Berry, rider of Ripped trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled from the half way point.

263E Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Apprentice Hcap

The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of What Lies Ahead, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(a), in that he had used his whip down the shoulder in the fore hand position. Having considered his previous good record, the Stewards cautioned him.

The Stewards fined Adrian Paul Keatley, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Captain Carleton, the winner of this race, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Miniature Hero trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

R.P. Cleary, rider of General Bunching (USA) trained by Thomas Cleary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung throughout.
