The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.P.W. Murtagh, that C.R. King, rider of Sandstorm, presented himself to be weighed out at three pounds overweight, two of which had been declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 198 and fined him €150 but allowed the overweight to be carried.

The Stewards interviewed R. Aguiar, rider of Tetraites, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(e) and 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive force and in an area short of the hind quarters and having considered his clean record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards interviewed P.J. Smullen, rider of Surprisingly, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his clean record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Lady's Wish, trained by M.P. Sunderland, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost her action and never let herself down.

327E Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med.Auct(F)M'dn

The Stewards fined Paul W. Flynn, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Forevertwentyone, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

Paul W. Flynn, trainer of Forevertwentyone, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that the saddle slipped in running.

327G1 Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'cap

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of Comanchie Creek, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that the filly was hanging badly in the straight and he repeatedly used the whip down the shoulder for safety reasons. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action.

327G2 Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'cap

P.J. Smullen, rider of Osmanthus trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared leaving the stalls.

R. Coakley, rider of Boxer Dunford trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount coughed after the race.

The Stewards fined Michael J. Browne, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of More Kudos (USA), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
