The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer of Vanderbilt (Declared in error) - €320

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.A. Heffernan rode Tale Of Fame (ITY) (reserve), trained by F. Costello (Race 2).

265B Jockey&Trainer Championship Claiming Mdn

The Stewards fined John James Feane, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Pure Action, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

265C(i) Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap (Division One)

The Stewards requested a report from Adrian Paul Keatley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Quiet Company (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge seemed to benefit from a drop back in trip and was also suited by a fast early pace which allowed his charge time to settle early on. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

265C(ii) Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap (Division Two)

The Stewards fined J.R. Hagan, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Badger Daly, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Streisand trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered interference over a furlong out.

S.P. Davis, rider of Iconic Figure trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he was forced to check his mount after the gap in front of him closed.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Stamp Of Authority, ridden by K.J. Manning, Streisand, ridden by P.J. Smullen, Iconic Figure, ridden by S.P. Davis and Invincible Queen, ridden by S.T. McCullagh. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the S.T. McCullagh was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous good record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 1 raceday.

265D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Shalailah, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

265E Dundalk Stadium Apprentice H'cap

O.J. Orr, rider of Dancing Doll, trained by A.J. Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost ground after rearing as the stalls opened.

265F Dundalk Stadium Light Up Your Night Race

The Stewards requested a report from A.P. O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of De Coronado (USA), placed first, as compared with its recent run at Leopardstown, when finishing second last in a twenty runner field and was beaten by 14 lengths. Pat Keating, Authorised Representative for the trainer, reported that this horse had previously shown a liking for this racing surface and track having won here before and felt a return to this venue had brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
