The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

053A One Arm Bandits Ace Casino Claiming Race

The Stewards informed John C. McConnell, trainer that Al Batal (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

R. Coakley, rider of Somelife trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.

The Stewards fined C. Moore, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Bazzat, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Bazzat in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Stewards fined C. Moore, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Penny Green (GB), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Penny Green (GB) in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

053D Moffett Engineering Median Auction Race

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Invasion Day, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed 2nd, Jupiter Road (GB), ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed 3rd, Major Reward, ridden by S. Foley, placed 6th, Sky Seven, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed 1st and Lafayette Hill, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed 4th. S. Crosse gave his evidence in the presence of A. Slattery. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action.

S. Foley, rider of Major Reward trained by Adrian Paul Keatley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room in the last 100 yards.

W.J. Lee, rider of Lafayette Hill trained by T.M. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked going to the line.

053E McGeoughs Bar & Restaurant H'cap

The Stewards informed Mrs D.A.Love, trainer that All The Mollies, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed Mrs D.A.Love, trainer of All The Mollies, concerning the conduct of her charge prior to this race. A recording of the incident was viewed. The Stewards advised the trainer that a repeat of this horse's behaviour may render it liable to suspension in future.

053F Print Express Apprentice H'cap

G.C. O'Neill, rider of Dream Focus trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was crossed in the straight.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that G.C. O'Neill, rider of Dream Focus, weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he drank some water after weighing out which may have pushed him over the limit on weighing-in. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and cautioned him.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Itsalonglongroad (GB), ridden by S.M. Crosse, Alcander (FR), ridden by O.J. Orr, and Dream Focus, ridden by G.C. O'Neill, where it appeared Dream Focus was crossed and clipped heels in the straight. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.M. Crosse gave his evidence in the presence of J.T. Gorman. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S.M. Crosse in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account suspended him for three race days.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Tooreen Legend trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount felt lame turning in.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tooreen Legend, trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

053G Anglo Printers M'dn

The Stewards fined Kieran Purcell, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Dsoloman, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Dsoloman in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bandiuc Eile, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Manning, rider of Bandiuc Eile, trained by J. S. Bolger, concerning his riding in the closing stages where he appeared to ease his mount close to the finish and lost fifth place. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount travelled well until the two furlong marker and suddenly got legless. In his opinion he tried to hold her together for the last few strides but she went forward when left alone. He was unable to explain her action in the latter stages but was satisfied that there was no specific fault to report that may have affected her performance. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. Mr Robert Dore, Chairman of the Acting Sterwards absented himself from this enquiry and Mr N. B. Wachman acted as Chairman.

053H Race Displays H'cap

The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of Latchet, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that L.T. McAteer was in breach of R10 (3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended L.T. McAteer for 1 raceday.
