The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

D.J. Bunyan, trainer of French Secret (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.M. Sheridan replaced D.M. Simmonson on Brightest Dawn, trained by Paul W. Flynn (Race 5)(unwell)
R.P. Whelan rode Noble Intention (reserve), trained by A.J.Martin (Race 8)

266A Recruit Island H'cap

A.J. Slattery, rider of Jungle Jane trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung towards the gate onto the track in the closing stages.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Abstraction, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed first and Jungle Jane, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed second, where it appeared Jungle Jane drifted towards the stands. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental and took no further action. W. McCreery, trainer, accompanied P. A. Harnett at this enquiry.

266B Servisource Healthcare Claiming M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Pocotaligo (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered intimidation up the straight.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Merricourt, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first and Pocotaligo (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared Merricourt drifted towards the stands. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action. Mrs. T.K. Cooper, Acting Stewards, absented herself from this enquiry.

266C1 Myhomecare.ie H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Farnese (GB), placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge appeared to appreciate the all weather surface and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Anfaass, trained by T.J. O'Mara, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

266C2 Myhomecare.ie H'cap

The Stewards interviewed O.J. Orr, rider of Dubai Rainbow, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that O.J. Orr was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of Hey Pretty, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that K.J. Leonard was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards interviewed Leanne Breen, trainer of Latchet, regarding the late arrival of her charge into the parade ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated tha her charge was very difficult to saddle causing a delay and apologised for this. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered on this occasion and reminded the trainer of her future responsibilities in this regard.

266D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

At the request of the Stewards, J.M. Sheridan, rider of Brightest Dawn, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount reared leaving the stalls possibly due to resenting the tongue tie.

S. Foley, rider of Pixel Power trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount travelled well but failed to pick up when asked.

266E Servisource Training Apprentice H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, P.A. Harnett, rider of Acclamatio, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Acclamatio, trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage. Samples were taken for analysis.

266G Servisource Occupational Healthcare Hcap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Dayereh trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met interference on the first bend and got no run in the straight.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Lady Rosebud trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount acted up in the stalls.
