The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer of Militry Decoration (Off Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

N.G. McCullagh rode Little Luna (reserve) , trained by John Geoghegan (Race 4)

298A Ir.injuredjockeys App'tice Claiming Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving stalls involving My Direction (GB), ridden by S.P. Davis, Red Avenger (USA), ridden by S.M. Mooney, Palace Guard, ridden by S.M. Crosse, Reckless Lad, ridden by D.P. Linehan, and Elusive Intrusive, ridden by Christina Simpson, where it appeared Elusive Intrusive ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.M. Crosse, gave his evidence in the presence of P.F. O'Donnell, representing S.M. Crosse's master, Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S.M. Crosse in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Another Dazzler, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(b) by using his whip when his chance was clearly gone and having taken his record into account, cautioned the rider.

298B Christmas Party Nights Nursery H'cap

B.M. Coen, rider of Sunset Nova trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right.

298C Book Your Christmas Party Dundalk H'cap

M.Halford, trainer of Katiymann, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge ran flat, possibly as a result of running back too quick.

The Stewards interviewed D. O'Brien, rider of King's Field, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10.3.(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.

The Stewards informed Marjorie Fife (in GB), trainer that Classic Seniority (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

298D2 Crowne Plaza Championship H'cap

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iv), the Stewards allowed Arlecchino's Rock (GB), trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Eacharn trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung slightly right.

298F www.dundalkstadium.com M'dn

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iv), the Stewards allowed Bedtime Story, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

D.P. Linehan, rider of King Citric (GB) trained by F.Birrane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dawn Trouper, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
