The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Liam Roche, trainer of Leath Na Hoibre (Transport breakdown) - €200

011A Dundalk Business Club 2018 M'dn

The Stewards fined A. Oliver, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of The Phantom Punch, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

D.P. Linehan, rider of Sir Danilo (GB) trained by F. Birrane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout this race.

The Stewards informed Edward U. Hales, trainer that Soqrat (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

011B(i) Matthews.ie Trip To Cheltenham 2018 Hcap (Division One)

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Marino Marvel, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed M.A. Gallagher, rider of Buddha's Secret (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Additional evidence and photograpic evidence was also presented by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer Ms Inge D'Haese. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that M.A. Gallagher was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height. The Stewards cautioned M.A. Gallagher having taken his good previous record into consideration. Taking the Veterinary evidence into consideration the Stewards were also of the opinion that M.A. Gallagher was in breach of R(10)(e) by hitting his horse other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters and therefore suspended him for 1 raceday.

011C Race Displays H'cap

R.P. Downey, rider of Poitin (GB), trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran lifeless throughout this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Zaofu, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C.J. McGovern, rider of Tropic Thunder (GER) trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action and also burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tropic Thunder (GER), trained by Anthony McCann, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

M. Halford, trainer of Shannon Soul, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge never let himself down on the track which was riding very fast tonight

011D Crowne Plaza Race & Stay 2018 H'cap

W.M. Lordan, rider of Indian Tomahawk (GB) trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

R.P. Downey, rider of Military Hill trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung and was bumped around in the final furlong.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Indian Tomahawk (GB), trained by Richard John O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his right fore post race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Aegeus, ridden by S.P. Davis, unplaced, Military Hill, ridden by R.P. Downey, placed third and Mostawfee, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed second, where it appeared that Military Hill caused interference by leaning out. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider of Mostawfee, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that L.F. Roche was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height and R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having taken his previous record into consideration the Stewards suspended L.F. Roche for 2 racedays.

011F Bar One Racing Race

The Stewards fined Andrew McNamara, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Fancy Dresser (FR), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

S. Foley, rider of Fancy Dresser (FR) trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not let himself down to race on a surface that he felt was riding too fast.

011G Fast Shipping Ltd H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Burn The Boats trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount changed his legs in running.
