The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Caroline Murtagh replaced I.T. Queally on Trainspotting (GB), trained by Michael G. Cleary (Race 6)(Unwell)

N.G. McCullagh, rider of Elusive In Paris, trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount reared up when the stalls opened and lost ground.

011D Elusive Pimpernel M'dn

K.J. Manning, rider of Adventureman (GB), trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left when let down to race.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Yulong Xiongfeng, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly to the left in the closing stages.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sister Slew, trained by Shane Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of Gold Tantrum, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Whelan was in breach of R10(3)(e) by hitting his horse other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters and consequently suspended him for 3 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Stewards received a report from William Fleming , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that G.P. Brouder , rider of Singapore Secret , weighed in at 1.6 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had wasted to do today's weight and had a good drink after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Brouder was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Stewards interviewed Christina Simpson, rider of Eloge, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Christina Simpson was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with her arm above shoulder height and consequently suspended her for 1 raceday having taken her previous record into consideration. Christina Simpson was accompanied at this enquiry by Michael McElhone, Authorised representative of Andrew Oliver, trainer, for whom she rode.

011G Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey&Trainer M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Rock Of Glenstal (GB), ridden by C.P. Hoban, unplaced, Smiler, ridden by R. Coakley, unplaced, Mountain Kingdom, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced and Escaping Midge, ridden by F. Lynch, placed fifth, where it appeared that Escaping Midge edged to the right and Mountain Kingdom in delivering his challenge ran short of room and collided with Smiler. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F. Carroll had ridden carelessly by persevering through a closing gap and consequently suspended him for 3 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.
