The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the two furlong pole involving Emperor Bob, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, Chillie Billie (GB), ridden by C.J. McGovern, placed fourth, Cresendo, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed first and Seeking Truth, ridden by T.P. Madden, unplaced, where it appeared that Seeking Truth received contact and was taken off a straight line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by C.J. McGovern riding carelessly and therefore cautioned him having taken his clean previous record into consideration.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Coach Bombay, trained by Adrian Brendan Joyce, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Mo Henry (GB), ridden by D.E. Sheehy, placed second and Chosen Rock, ridden by S.P. Davis, placed first, where it appeared that both horses made brief contact near the finish. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused by Chosen Rock did not improve her placing over Mo Henry (GB) and therefore made no alteration to the Judges' placings and took no further action. Adrian Paul Keatley trainer of Mo Henry (GB) accompanied D.E. Sheehy, Apprentice Jockey, at this enquiry.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Rising Mist trained by Philip M. Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung in the straight.
