046A Crowne Plaza Race and Stay H'cap

The Stewards fined Mark Fahey, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Cappadocia, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Cappadocia in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

046C Ready Mixed Concrete H'cap

The Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Ciao, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended D.W. O'Connor for 2 racedays.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Alcander (FR) trained by Francis J. Flood, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount moved poorly through out.

046D Killowen Contracts H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sleepy Head, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be distressed post race.

S. Foley, rider of Wedding Photo (USA) trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never let herself down in the straight.

At the request of the Stewards, K.J. Leonard, rider of Very Smart, trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he momentarily lost a rein in the closing stages when pulling his stick through.

046G Marshes Shopping Centre H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Port Lions, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, Hasselnott (GB), ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed third and Secret Wizard, ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Anthony McCann, trainer, who accompanied S.M. Crosse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They did, however, caution S.M. Crosse concerning the accuracy of his evidence.

046H Bulmers H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Isotope, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed second and Cuban Hope, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence Damien Byrne, representing J.P. O'Brien, trainer and master of S.M. Crosse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

S. Foley, rider of Gold Jasmine trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Isosceles, trained by M.Halford, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
