The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. M. Crosse rode Iontach (reserve), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 7)
D. W. O'Connor replaced L.T. McAteer on Drakensberg, trained by A.J.Martin (Race 3)(Stewards permission)

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined No Nay Yellow, trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ahyoka, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards requested a report from Martin Hassett, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Harry's Hill (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Martin Hassett stated that the return to the minimum trip had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P. L. Malone, that L.T. McAteer, rider of Drakensberg, had presented himself to weigh out at two pounds overweight, which was not declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that L. T. McAteer was in breach of rule 195 (i) and rule 198 (vii) and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for two racedays. Furthermore, the Stewards granted a request from A. J. Martin to substitute L. T. McAteer with D. W.O'Connor.

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the top of home straight involving Glorious Zoff, ridden by Sam Ewing, placed first and Majestic Jewel (GB), ridden by M. P. Sheehy, unplaced, where it appeared that Majestic Jewel had to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Sam Ewing was in breach of rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered Sam Ewing's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion. Sam Ewing was accompanied by Mary Nugent at this enquiry. M. P. Sheehy was accompanied by Kevin O'Ryan at this enquiry.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Wonwabbitwon trained by Anthony Mullins was found to have blood at the nostrils post race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving S'all Good Man, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth, Jungle Cove, ridden by A.M. Glynn, placed third, Wonwabbitwon, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, Marchetti, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, Melisma, ridden by M.A. Enright, unplaced and Tooreen Angel, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed second, where it appeared that several horse got tight for room and suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise L. T. McAteer to ride with more care in the future.

C.D. Hayes, rider of S'all Good Man trained by W.T. Farrell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered on the first bend.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Marchetti trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered severe interference on the first bend.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Tooreen Angel trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Wonwabbitwon trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Taylored, trained by Andrew Slattery, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.J. Farragher, rider of Mirage More trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference on the bottom bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Taylored trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too free.

J.A. Powell, rider of Kompromat trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly way.

008G1 Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk H'cap

Sam Ewing, rider of Shatharaat trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen early.

T.P. Madden, rider of My Lucky Penny trained by R.Donohoe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount moved badly in the straight.

008G2 Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk H'cap

The Stewards fined Andrew Slattery, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared headgear to Sors, prior to entering the parade ring.
