071A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auc.M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined American Lady, trained by J.A.Stack, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

071B Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Theweehard, trained by Alan A.H. Wells, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

M.A. Gallagher, rider of Pretty Smart trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green and hung right in the straight.

071C Marshes Shopping Centre Rated Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the start of this race involving Mid Winster (GB), ridden by B.M. Coen, Nitro Boost, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Empire Line, ridden by A.J. Slattery, where it appeared that Empire Line moved across before reaching the marker poles causing Mid Winster and Nitro Boost to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 211 in that he failed to keep a straight line until reaching the marker poles, and Rule 214 in that he rode carelessly. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended A.J. Slattery for 1 raceday in respect of Rule 211 and 1 raceday in respect of Rule 214.

071D Imperial Hotel Dundalk M'dn

The Stewards fined Kieran P. Cotter, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Anthonysoprano, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Anthonysoprano in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Stewards interviewed D. O'Brien, rider of Ferretti (USA), concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that D. O'Brien was in breach of Rule 211 in that he failed to keep a straight line before reaching the marker poles. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended D. O' Brien for 1 raceday.

The Stewards interviewed W.J. Lee, rider of Skellig, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that W.J. Lee was in breach of Rule 211 in that he failed to keep a straight line before reaching the marker poles. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended W.J. Lee for 1 raceday.

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of Succeedandsurpass, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Whelan was in breach of Rule 211 in that he failed to keep a straight line before reaching the marker poles. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended R.P. Whelan for 1 raceday.

071E Recruit Island H'cap

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Poitin (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.P. Brouder was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard cautioned G.P. Brouder and reminded him of his future responsibilities.

071F Racing Post H'cap

S.M. Crosse, rider of Serenely trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

J.M. Moore, rider of Red Gerry trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he lost his whip 1 furlong out.

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Bobs Authority trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran free early on and hung left.

071G LMFM Dual Race Night 3rd May H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Alpine Peak (USA) trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action going up the straight.
