The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

W.M. Lordan replaced J.A. Heffernan on De Coronado (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien (Race 6)(Flight delayed)
W.M. Lordan replaced C. O'Donoghue on Tonkinese (GB), trained by M.Halford (Race 4)(Flight delayed)
R.P. Whelan replaced C. O'Donoghue on Claregate Street, trained by M.Halford (Race 5)(Flight delayed)

288A Irish Stallion Farms EBF(C&G)Med.Auc.Mdn

The Stewards interviewed M.C. Hussey, rider of Most Impressive, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned which included an admission that he had used the whip once in the forehand position in front of the saddle but did so as his mount was hanging and kept leaning to the left. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards took no further action in relation to the use of the whip but did caution him concerning his responsibility under Rule 213 to report anything that may have affected his mounts performance.

288C Irishinjuredjockeys.com Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from John James Feane, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Vincita, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Roscommon on the 4th September. James Feane, authorised representative for John James Feane reported that the owner acquired this filly from France and she was expected to run well on her first appearance in this country but she never handled the very heavy ground conditions and disappointed. Today she raced on a sounder surface and he believed that this was the only reason for the improved run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

288D Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Package H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final 150 yards involving Katiymann, ridden by P.J. Smullen, placed third, Secret Wizard, ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced, Atlas, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed first and Jon Ess, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, where it appeared that Secret Wizard was tight for room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. Mr S. Collins, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

The Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Atlas, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Meghan Donovan, authorised representative for Denis Gerard Hogan, reported that the change of racing surface was the only reason that can be attributed to the improved run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

288E Dundalk Stadium On Facebook H'cap

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined All Body And Soul (GB), trained by Tracey Collins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race. Samples were taken for analysis.

R.P. Downey, rider of Mademoiselle Penny, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost her action and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Mademoiselle Penny, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

288F Al Basti Equiworld Carlingford Stakes

W.M. Lordan, rider of De Coronado (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount clipped heels and stumbled on the first bend.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Jaqen H'Ghar trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tightened about one furlong from the finish.

The Stewards fined A.P.O'Brien, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Long Island Sound (USA), prior to entering the parade ring.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the latter stages of this race involving Jaqen H'Ghar, ridden by P.J. Smullen, placed fourth, Marshall Jennings, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, placed second, Santa Monica (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed fifth, Spruce Meadows, ridden by G.P. Halpin, placed dead heated for sixth and Maudlin Magdalen, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, where it appeared that Jaqen H'Ghar and Spruce Meadows met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings'. However, they advised C. O'Donoghue to ride with more care. Mr S. Collins, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

The Stewards fined A.P.O'Brien, trainer, €130 for failing to nominate an authorised representative in accordance with the provisions of Rule 147(v).

C.T. Keane, rider of Tennessee Wildcat, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he reacted quickly to avoid any possible trouble when he was tracking De Coronado (USA) which clipped heels on the first bend.

288G2 CrownePlaza Leading Jockey&Trainer H'cap

C.D. Hayes, rider of Cascar Cavcha trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen during this race.
