M.C. Hussey, rider of Hyde Park Barracks (USA) trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly to the right in the closing stages of this race.

The Stewards interviewed M.C. Hussey, rider of Hyde Park Barracks (USA), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that some use of the whip was for corrective purposes and the remaining use of the whip did not breach R10. The Stewards did not take any further action on this occasion.

The Stewards interviewed E. Greatrex, rider of Lord Mczie, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that E. Greatrex was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended E. Greatrex for 2 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed A.J. Farragher, rider of Feelfreetojumpin, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race and also after the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Farragher was in breach of R10(3)(d) by using his whip after the winning post had been reached and R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended A.J. Farragher for 2 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed B.M. Coen, rider of Bestrella, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were satisfied that B.M. Coen was in breach of Rule 211(a). Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended B.M. Coen for 1 raceday.

148D2 Crowne Plaza Virtual Ladies Day H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Everyhouronthehour, trained by W. Ross, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Basrah Breeze trained by E. D. Delany, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

148E Woodford Reserve Ballysax Stakes

At the request of the Stewards, M.C. Hussey, rider of Monarch Of Egypt (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount settled well but failed to pick up when asked to challenge.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Monarch Of Egypt (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Siamese (USA), trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B.M. Coen, rider of Siamese (USA) trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tripped when leaving the starting stalls.

The Stewards interviewed James J. Doyle, rider of Wojood (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that James J. Doyle was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended James J. Doyle for 1 raceday.

148F2 Ireland Thanks You H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Sideshift (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. M.D. O'Callaghan reported that his charge ran well when third at Gowran Park over one mile on his first run this year before being stepped up in trip at Leopardstown where he ran very keen. Today the tactics were changed where he took his time early on and dropped in behind the leaders which allowed him to relax and finish well. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
