The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Frankincense (Off feed) - €200

178A HMT Shipping Claiming Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Reckless Lad, trained by Patrick Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame behind post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Poetic Light (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

178B Murdock Building Supplies M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Nexxia (FR) trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Nexxia (FR), trained by T.Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

178C Morgan Fuels H'cap

The Stewards informed Seamus Fahey, trainer, that Survival Mode would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

178E EOS IT Solutions H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Golden Spell (GB), ridden by D.P. Linehan and Togoville, ridden by W.J. Lee, where it appeared that Togoville ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference that occurred was accidental in nature and they therefore took no further action.

178F Down GAA M'dn

The Stewards interviewed John James Feane, trainer, following a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer concerning the application of the tongue strap applied to his charge. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and also from Mr. Alan Dunlop, Irish Horse Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards advised John James Feane concerning his responsibilities in this regard.

178G O'Neill's Sportswear H'cap

The Stewards interviewed W.M. Lordan, rider of Faradays Law, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that W.M. Lordan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record in this regard, cautioned him.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Ana Lichious trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run.

The Stewards interviewed D.E. Sheehy, rider of Universal Focus (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.E. Sheehy was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency, and having considered his previous record in this regard suspended him for 2 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed A.J. Farragher, rider of Spinning Pearl, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Farragher was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and having considered his previous record in this regard, suspended him for 4 racedays.
