The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

P.D. Deegan, trainer of Magwadiri (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

N.G.McCullagh rode Magwadiri, trained by P.D. Deegan (Race 2)(Stewards permission)
Dylan Robinson replaced S.B. Kelly on Bittern, trained by Emmet Mullins (Race 5)(unwell)
N.G.McCullagh replaced S.B. Kelly on Cheers Buddy, trained by Lee Smyth (Race 6)(unwell)
R.P.Downey replaced R.G. Ryan on Jeremys Joy, trained by Jason Cairns (Race 5)(see report)

316A Dundalk Stadium Claiming Race

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Soul Brother, trained by John James Feane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race, having lost a shoe in running(samples taken for analysis).

S. Foley, rider of Magnification trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was tight for room inside the final furlong.

316E Crowne Plaza Championship Apprentice Hcp

The Stewards fined Rossa Ryan €200 in accordance with Rule 196(v) for failing to present himself to be weighed out within the allocated time.

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of Black Label (GB), regarding his late arrival into the parade ring for this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Andrew Oliver, trainer, who accompanied the rider in the Stewards room. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards advised the rider concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

316F2 Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Hcap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Lily's Prince, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second and Seeking Truth, ridden by T.P. Madden, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action.

The Stewards informed J.Larkin, trainer that Zauffaly (FR), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Landikusic, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed third and Sufoof, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings, they were however of the opinion that D.P.McDonogh was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.
