The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.J. Manning replaced G.P. Halpin on Clonard Abbey, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 8)(Unwell)

007A Bet 5 Get 30 For All new Customers H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, R. Coakley, rider of Mr Michael, trained by Adrian Brendan Joyce, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount missed the break then later at the first bend he checked out of a tight situation. He added that on straightening up he felt that his mount had lost his action and eased him down.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Ken's Sam's, ridden by S. Foley, placed first, Ar Saoirse (GB), ridden by O.J. Orr, unplaced, Mr Michael, ridden by R. Coakley, unplaced and Buddha Boy (GB), ridden by Karen Kenny, unplaced, where it appeared that Mr Michael ran short of room and was checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental in nature and took no further action.

007C Lenghten The Odds With BetVictor M'dn

R. Coakley, rider of Beethoven's Gal (GB) trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not let herself down when she came off the bridle.

007F1 Cash Out Now BetVictor Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident on leaving the back straight involving Mulzamm, ridden by S.M. Mooney, placed fifth and Invinsible, ridden by G.P. Brouder, unplaced, where it appeared that Invinsible was tight for room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by S.M. Mooney riding carelessly and therefore to be in breach of Rule 214. Having taken his good previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended S.M. Mooney for 1 raceday.

The Stewards informed James M. Barrett, trainer that Lake George, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Hey Pretty trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had to check inside the final furlong.

007F2 Cash Out Now BetVictor Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident before the marker poles involving Paddytheirishman, ridden by A.C. Persse, placed third and Victorious Secret, ridden by K.J. Leonard, placed first (dead heat), where it appeared that Victorious Secret came off a straight line before reaching the marker poles and came across Paddytheirishman. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. During evidence K.J. Leonard stated that his mount hung from the moment that the stalls opened until reaching the end of the back straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that K.J. Leonard was in breach of Rule 211 by failing to ride in a straight line until reaching the marker poles, to be in breach of Rule 213 by failing to report at first instance anything that might have affected his mounts performance and to be in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and causing an incident before the marker poles. Having taken into consideration his previous record in relation to the named breaches of rule, the Stewards suspended K.J. Leonard for 1 raceday for a breach of Rule 211, 1 raceday for a breach of Rule 213 and 1 raceday for a breach of Rule 214. The Stewards also cautioned A.C. Persse concerning the accuracy of his evidence.

007G Over 1000 Games At BetVictor H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Commodus, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
