The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M.P. Walsh rode Pack Your Bags (reserve) , trained by Robert Tyner (Race 4)

308A Eventsec M'dn H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Dark Du Tabert Aa (FR) trained by John G. Carr, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

308D Allianz H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D. Meyler, rider of Skellig Rocks (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D. Meyler to be in breach of Regulation 10. 3 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive force and frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended D. Meyler for 5 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed C.M. Leonard, rider of No Pressure Pat, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C.M. Leonard to be in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) in that he used his whip unneccessarily when his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned C.M. Leonard regarding his future responsibilities.

The Stewards interviewed J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Megara (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found J.P. O'Sullivan to be in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) in that he used his whip unnecessarily when his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard, The Stewards suspended J.P. O' Sullivan for 2 racedays.

308E Porter & Co. Beginners S'chase

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Moulin A Vent (GB), trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported that the animal was blowing hard but recovered well post race.

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Moulin A Vent (GB) trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

308F Toals Bookmakers H'cap S'chase

A.W. Short, rider of Mount Beckham trained by Miss Clare Louise Cannon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Mount Beckham, trained by Miss Clare Louise Cannon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have had blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

308G Killyhevlin Hotel INH Flat Race

The Stewards received a report from Mr H.T Hynes , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr T. Reilly , rider of Endless Refrain , weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. T. Reilly was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him on this occassion having considered his previous record in this regard.

The Stewards interviewed Mr N. McParlan, rider of Dolly's Destination, in relation to an incident on his way down to the start where he was dislodged from his mount and struck him twice in the ribcage. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. N. Mc Parlan was in breach of Rule 272 in that his conduct was prejudicial to the good reputation of horseracing. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr. N. McParlan for 5 racedays.
