352F Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of Magic Sea, trained by Sarah Dawson, placed first, compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that her charge had raced freely on its previous run until hitting the second last hurdle very hard and losing its position. She felt that this had taught the horse to settle and also the fact he was racing on ground similar to his previous victory here as a two year old, the rider took his time today, was patient when his mount hit a flat spot during todays race and allowed him to gain confidence when passing other horses were all contributing factors to todays success. Evidence was also heard from Mr. Gary O'Gorman, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board National Hunt Handicapper. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given. Mr. Robert William Steele absented himself from this enquiry.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Back To Bataan trained by Mervyn Torrens, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Stewards enquired into the withdrawal of Blue Markie through the non runner line and Ballyallaght at 10.58 a.m both trained by D.M. Christie with transport breakdown furnished as the excuse. D.M.
