The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

N.M. Crosse replaced G.P. Brouder on Maritime Law, trained by Mrs Ann Mooney (Race 3)(unwell)

153A Rainbow Communications M'dn

The Stewards interviewed C.R. King, rider of Wolfofbaggotstreet, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that C.R. King was in breach of rule 211 and having considered his record issued a fine of €100.

153C Value Cabs H'cap

C.R. King, rider of Emperor Bob trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

153D Magners Ulster Derby

L.F. Roche, rider of Mujaazy, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well until the turn in then stopped quickly and was eased from there on.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Mujaazy, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

153E Coolmore Stud EBF Ulster Oaks (F) H'cap

W.M. Lordan, rider of Pandagreen trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Lady Derrynane, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, placed fifth and Pandagreen, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fourth, where it appeared Pandagreen received a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental in nature and took no further action.

153F Down Royal H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Coreczka, ridden by T.P. Madden, unplaced, Black Agnes, ridden by S.B. Kelly, placed fourth and Pirolo, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed second, where it appeared that Coreczka ran short of room and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Whelan was in breach of rule 214 by riding carelessly and therefore suspended him for 2 racedays.

The Stewards requested a report from Peter Fahey, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Missguided, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Ronan Shortt, authorised representative of Peter Fahey, reported that no abnormalities were found after her last race in Naas on 20th June and in his opinion today's better underfoot conditions suited his filly better than the quicker ground at Naas. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

153G Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auc M'dn

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Spiral Galaxy trained by G.M.Lyons was found to have blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

The Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of On The Go Again, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F. Carroll was in breach of regulation 10, 3. (a) by using his whip in the forehand position in front of the saddle and therefore suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.
