The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.D. Maxwell rode Piranto (reserve), trained by M.G. Quinn (Race 1)
B.J. Cooper replaced S.W. Flanagan on Bel Ami De Sivola (FR), trained by Noel Meade (Race 3)(Stewards' Permission, intended mount a non-runner)
J.J. Slevin replaced S.W. Flanagan on Winter Lion, trained by Matthew J. Smith (Race 4)(Injured)
G.N. Fox replaced S.W. Flanagan on Net D'Ecosse (FR), trained by Noel Meade (Race 5)(Injury)

090C Belfast Live H'dle

M.J. Bolger, rider of Sir Issac trained by H. Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

090D Magners Irish Cider Beginners S'chase

The Stewards requested a report from Ms. Sandra Hughes, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Art Of Payroll (GER), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse missed the start at Fairyhouse, missed the first fence, jumped poorly, got detached and lost interest thereafter before pulling up. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

090E Daily Mirror H'cap S'chase

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn for home involving Lucky Pat, ridden by D.N. Russell, Empresario, ridden by R.P. Treacy, and Swantykay, ridden by D. Meyler, where it appeared Lucky Pat and Empresario ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

Thomas Gibney, trainer of Balnagon Boy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was found to be lame post race.

090F Dark Horse Wine Bar Hunters S'chase

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Quiet Account, trained by C.A.McBratney, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined B C's Pride, at the request of trainer, Seamus Fahey, and reported the animal to have a superficial downward flap of skin on his left hind pastern.

090G Bet With The Tote I.N.H. Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss S. O'Brien, rider of Cornelius Sulla, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Miss S. O'Brien in breach of Reg. 10 3.(f) by using her whip with excessive frequency and cautioned her regarding her future whip use.

The Stewards interviewed Mr R.M. Cody, rider of His Dream, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 4 by failing to give his mount time to respond and suspended him for one race day and referred him to RACE for one day's tuition in the correct use of the whip.
