The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

045B Martinstown Opportunity H'cap H'dle

Miss Suzy Barkley, trainer of Tyrone Tiger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge burst a blood vessel during this race.

045C Daily Mirror H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Returntovendor, ridden by S.E. Butler, placed third and Tyrrell's Succes (FR), ridden by Mr N. McParlan, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

Miss H. Mooney, rider of Augher Castle trained by Patrick Mooney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount lost its action and pulled up.

M.A. Enright, rider of State Of Origin trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made mistakes, lost its action and pulled up.

The Stewards interviewed Mr N. McParlan, rider of Tyrrell's Succes (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. N. McParlan was in breach of Reg. 10. 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and having taken his record in this regard into account the Stewards cautioned the rider regarding his future whip use.

045E Daily Mirror S'chase

R.C. Colgan, rider of Dedigout, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.

045F Daily Mirror Hunters S'chase

The Stewards received a report from Miss Colleen Murphy , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr R. Kavanagh , rider of Hasty Times , weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had taken a drink after weighing out and this may have accounted for the overweight when weighing back in. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having taken his record into account the Stewards cautioned him.

045G Bet With The Tote (Mares) INH Flat Race

The Stewards received a report from Ms. Inge D'Haese, MRCVS, Turf Club Veterinary Officer that the vaccinations contained in the Passport of Cheval Place, trained by Lady Jane Gillespie were incorrect for the second successive occasion. In accordance with Rule 90 the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Cheval Place and fined the trainer €350.

Ms K. Ferris, rider of Derecho Storm, trained by Eoin Gerard Barry, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung throughout.

Mr P.C. Bannon, rider of Peggy's Acre, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung in the straight.
