The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Charles O'Brien, trainer of Ripped (Ground) - €200
Charles O'Brien, trainer of Ripped (Late withdrawal) - €200

250A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incidents inside the final one and a half furlongs involving Anania, ridden by E.J. McNamara, placed fourth, Jenniechild, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed third and Kotonic, ridden by S.B. Kelly, placed second, where it appeared that Kotonic failed to keep a straight course and may have caused some interference in so doing. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that S.B.Kelly was in breach of Rule 214 by causing interference having failed to correct his mount from drifting and consequently severely cautioned him having taken his good previous record into consideration.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Gossip Central trained by A.L.T.Moore, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen in the early part of this race.

250C Belfast Live Nursery H'cap

Caroline Murtagh, rider of Varrane, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount hung to the right in running and could not get a clear run until close to the finish and stayed on well in the closing stages.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Angelic Demon trained by John M. Oxx, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked about one furlong from the finish.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Ava trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference about one furlong from the finish.

250E Daily Mirror H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Athassel (GB), trained by T.J. O'Mara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was repeatedly denied a clear run in the latter stages of this race and was unable to make a challenge.

250F Belfast Live Apprentice H'cap

R. Coakley, rider of Mountain Kingdom, trained by J.Larkin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left throughout this race.

The Stewards interviewed G.J. Phillips, rider of Scenic Star, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.J. Phillips was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and consequently suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

B. R. Hamilton, trainer of Sovereign Princess, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge lost a front shoe in running and was lame post race.
