The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

P.D. Deegan, trainer of Papa's Way (Off feed) - €200.
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Spicy Fruity (Declared in error) - €320
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Tajseer (USA) (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. J. Mullins replaced J.S. McGarvey on Annskert Lady, trained by Anthony McCann (Race 1)(Stewards permission).

213A Lazy Sunday M'dn H'dle

Mr N. McParlan, rider of Itshard To No trained by S. McParlan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung turning for home when under pressure.

213C downpatrickracecourse.co.uk H'cap H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Urban Dusk, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

213D Everyone Loves Downpatrick(Mares)Hcp Hdl

J.J. Burke, rider of Tiger Bay Lady, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount felt lame on pulling up and was dismounted thereafter.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tiger Bay Lady, trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on the left fore.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Jo Go, trained by Mrs. C. O'Leary, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a shoe and to be lame on the right fore.

213E Toals Bookmakers Dial-A-Bet M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed J.W. Kennedy, rider of Ultimate Horseman, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(f), in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for three race days.

213F Sound Of Silver H'cap H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Udo's Choice, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on the off fore.

213G 'Your Name Here' INH Flat Race

Mr D. Delahunt, rider of Pharlos Last, trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped and he pulled his mount up thereafter.

The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after the start of this race where a running rail was dislodged involving Ah Littleluck, ridden by Mr J.C. Barry, placed third, Pharlos Last, ridden by Mr D. Delahunt, pulled up and Montys Angel, ridden by Mr T. Reilly, placed fifth, where it appeared both Pharlos Last and Montys Angel ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards due to insufficient video evidence took no further action, but reminded Mr J.C. Barry that he was given the benefit of the doubt at this enquiry.
