The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.C. Colgan replaced D.N. Russell on Coldstonesober, trained by J.R.Finn (Race 4)(No show).

231A Botanica International Herbal M'dn H'dle

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, William Fleming, regarding the failure of S.M. Quinlan, rider of Lady Germany, placed fifth, to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that it was a complete oversight on his part as he was uncertain of his finishing position. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.M. Quinlan was in breach of Rule 227 by failing to weigh in and consequently cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard. In accordance with the provisions of Rule 230(ii), the Stewards disqualified Lady Germany from fifth place.

231B Paddy Galbraith Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Drunken Counsel, placed first, as compared with its previous run at Perth 29th July 2014. Gordon Elliot reported that his charge has shown a lack of enthusiasm when not allowed to dictate or to get things his own way. He added that the gelding was taken on early at Perth on his most recent run and just lost interest. He referred to a similar happening at Bellewstown 6th July when ridden by D.J. Condon. He felt that today he ran unchallenged and close to the pace early on before taking up the running and being left alone to win as he pleased. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Dedoctorsdaughter, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.G. Hogan, rider of Dedoctorsdaughter trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled throughout this race.

Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer of Dedoctorsdaughter, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge showed signs of being in season post race.

Gerard Keane, trainer of Fearnwood Girl, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Tuesday 19th May that his charge has had a wind operation since this run.

231C Al Aasfa 2 Stables Dubai M'dn H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Lord Of Isenay (FR), trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.J. Burke, rider of Lord Of Isenay (FR) trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

231D Al Aasfa Best Dressed Lady H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined D.N. Russell €200 for failing to provide a satisfactory explanation for his failure to present himself at scales to be weighed out for his nominated ride on Coldstonesober trained by J.R. Finn.

H. Smyth, trainer of Knockans Bridge, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 28th August that his charge was found to scoped unsatisfactorily on Wednesday 27th August.

231E Fran And Maree Murrin Memorial M'dn Hdle

The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Better Back Bob, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.C. Colgan was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force and frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration the Stewards suspended R.C. Colgan for 2 racedays.

231F Willie Murphy Jewellers H'cap H'dle

H. Smyth, trainer of Nevada Rose, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 28th August his charge was found to have scoped unsatisfactorily on Wednesday 27th August.
