121A Molson Coors M'dn H'dle

S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Sole Vision trained by C.A.McBratney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered.

121B Tote Supporting Downpatrick H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.G. Lavery, rider of Dynamic Allen (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) (frequency) and having taken his record into account cautioned him.

121C Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards advised John Joseph Hanlon, trainer of Novel Character, that a repeat of this horse's behaviour (very unruly in parade ring, chute and at the start) may render the horse liable to suspension in future.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Colleen Murphy, that D.P. Holden, rider of Pat Coyne, trained by John W. Nicholson, placed 6th, weighed in 1.1lbs light following this race. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. The rider stated that he could not account for the difference between his weighing out and weighing in weight other than he could have lost it in sweat during the race on a particularly warm day. The trainer stated that he placed all the equipment he received at weighing out on his charge and could not account for the discrepancy. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards disqualified Pat Coyne from 6th place in accordance with Rule 231 (i) and took no further action. .

R.A. Doyle, rider of Greenandwhitearmy trained by Neil McKnight, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount's saddle slipped.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Novel Character, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be sore on its right side girth area. Samples were taken for analysis.

121F Frank Fitzsimmons Memorial Hunters S'ch

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.G. Lavery, rider of Hi Murphy, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 1 race day.

121G Molson Coors I.N.H. Flat Race

The Stewards fined B. R. Hamilton, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Hollow Moon, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Hollow Moon in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Stewards received a report from Ms. Colleen Murphy , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr M.J. O'Hare , rider of Belper Rose , weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that the overweight was possibly due to mud on his boots due to kickback. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr O'Hare was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him.
