The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.E. Corbett replaced A. McCurtin on Double Windsor, trained by David M.O'Brien (Race 5)(Injury)
Mr. J.W. Hannon replaced Mr J.C. Barry on Macs Legend, trained by Gerard Kelleher (Race 6)(See Enquiry)
C.D. Maxwell replaced D.J. McInerney on Senators Glory, trained by S. Slevin (Race 5)(Injury)

116A Pat O'Hare Bookmakers M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined Gordon Elliott, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Ravenhill, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

116B Apple Recruitment Services H'cap H'dle

M.P. Walsh, rider of Banksoftheshannon (GB) trained by Eoin Griffin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Lambs Lane trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last and was pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Banksoftheshannon (GB), trained by Eoin Griffin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its off fore leg post race.

116C Paddy Galbraith Memorial H'cap H'dle

C.D. Timmons, rider of The Crane Man trained by Thomas Coyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left and pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Yeats Baby, trained by Francis J. Flood, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

116D Roadstud Installations Beginners S'chase

The Stewards fined Ms Margaret Mullins, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Gunfire Reef, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Banking Crisis trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action and was pulled up.

116E C Russell Auto Sales H'cap S'chase

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Rare Legend trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount didn't handle the track and was pulled up.

116F King & Boyd Solicitors Hunters S'chase

The Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the non arrival of Mr J.C. Barry, the declared rider of Macs Legend, which led to a request for a change of rider to Mr. J.W. Hannon. Evidence was heard from Mr. J. Prendeville, representative of the trainer, who stated that Mr. Barry had been booked to ride the horse. The rider had however rang the trainer this afternoon to inform him that he would not be attending the meeting as he was riding at a point-to-point and would not make it to Downpatrick on time. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the request of Mr. J.W. Hannon, to substitute for Mr. Barry on Macs Legend, but considered the excuse offered to be unacceptable and imposed a fine of €400 on the rider.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Clondaw Frisby, trained by J.G.Cosgrave, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame and to have a grazed fetlock.

The Stewards interviewed Mr N.T. Prendergast, rider of B C's Pride, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3(f) and having taken his previous record into account, cautioned him.

116G Molson Coors I.N.H. Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tipp Toe, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
