G.T. Cuthbert, trainer of Kingspan Ellie, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge made a noise.

217C Ivy Bar Newtownards H'cap H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Bell Of The Ball, trained by Liam Lennon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs that she may be coming into season and that she lost a left hind shoe.

217D Everyone Loves Downpatrick(Mares)Hcp Hdl

The Stewards received a report from Ms Colleen Murphy , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that R.A. Doyle , rider of Pat's Pearl , weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had taken a drink of diet coke on arrival at the race track. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that R.A. Doyle was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for one raceday.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Blixt, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

217F Molson Coors H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of Tranquil Magic, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.J. Slevin was in breach of regulation 10.3(f) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered J.J. Slevin's previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for five racedays and referred him for one day to R.A.C.E.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Pat's Oscar, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

217G 'Your Name Here' INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined J.G. Cosgrave, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Mr Dealer, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Special Ted (GER), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount sustained an injury and fell.
